Mobile Devices Rule the Industry

In 2020, mobile devices made up 84% of all Pornhub’s traffic worldwide. Specifically, the data shows:

• Smartphones: 80% of that was from smartphones, which saw their share grow by +4.7%.
• Tablets: Tablet traffic was reduced another –29% in 2020.
• Desktops: Desktop and laptop traffic was reduced to just 15% of Pornhub’s global traffic.

Global Mobile Traffic Statistics

Some countries have even larger shares of mobile traffic, demonstrating how mobile devices rule the internet and porn sites as well. The following statistics highlight regional device preferences:

• Philippines: 95% of traffic is from mobile.
• Mexico: 92% of traffic is from mobile.
• United States: 87% of visits are from phones or tablets.
• Russia: Smartphone usage increased +10 percentage points in 2020.
• Ukraine: Increased its share by +11 points.
• Germany: While Germany saw a 7% increase in smartphone market share, it still lags behind other top five countries with 26% of visitors still using desktop computers.
